Ah no I won't start quoting B*Witched lyrics. Am I the only one that had their first album? Anyway this is what happens when you go away for two weeks and don't check your mail. The post office people know me by name and it was a little funny going in to pick up 6 packages :-P Some were for the bf though but this is what I scored:
As soon as Benefit's new blush Bella Bamba came out, I ordered it, along with a few other goodies as you can see. The box powder is different to earlier versions as the lid no longer detaches and there is a little mirror inside. Pretty shiny reflective box:
And inside... described as a 3D watermelon blush so it'll be interesting to see how it compares to their standard blushes.
I also picked up the Illamasqua nail duo boosh and harsh:
I can't wait to try boosh. I don't have a black so this is exciting for me :-) I also ordered two Philosophy shower gels, firstly Rainbow Sherbet:
This smells fresh and fruity and is great for summer. But I couldn't resist also picking up cookies and cream:
It does smell oh so sweet so probably doesn't appeal to all. I don't mind it given my recent candle haulage.
And I just had a lush bath to finish off the second Pretty Little Liars book. I'm DYING to see episode 11 so hopefully I can watch that tomorrow. But I'll probably start getting the book and tv show mixed up so I better finish off the books quick smart!
TMI time but I'll show you what a 'halloween' Lush bath bomb Calavera looks like when dissolved. Oh looks pretty and pink in ballistic form:
Read the fine print and it says '... turn bathtimes (and halloween) into a real celebration!' Well if by celebration you mean creature from the black lagoon style then yes:
When you combine blue and yellow and orange flower petals you get creepy green bath with bits! Luckily it still smelt nice. Honestly it was no way visually appealing or inviting but it smelt like lush so it's all goooooood.
P.S. You all need to reminisce and get on the b*witched :-)

New Benefit Launch at Myer Canberra! And cupcakes... as usual :-P
So I heard that Benefit was launching at Myer Canberra today but I had no idea the whole Beauty floor was being revamped! I was absolutely dumbfounded when I saw a brand spanking new MAC counter, Chanel, Dior, amongst other goodies. And tweezerman! Since when did we have Tweezerman in Canberra :-| But the Benefit launch was certainly the place to be, complete with bright pink hair and pink balloons:
Nice that we have a brow bar as well as a Benefit counter!
And since the whole floor was revamped, they were celebrating with free cupcakes and a free photobooth! The cupcakes were delicious by the way.
The best part about today was that if you spent $100 on benefit, you got a confessions of a concealaholic! Plus a goodie bag with any purchase that had 2 samples in it. Here's my stash:

I already have the Boi-ing concealer in the first shade, but this box is just too cute! I also got two creaseless cream liners in r.s.v.p. and birthday suit. And a stay don't stray eye shadow primer.
I'm a big fan of paint pots, cream bases so I decided to add to my collection :-D r.s.v.p has more pink/peach undertones and birthday suit was a slightly taupey brown.
So that was my mini haul. I'm also stoked the Canberra now has a MAC counter! Now I can swatch things :-D

Beauty Haul preview
Bad Leanne! Meant to be saving for holidays and what do I do? Oh let me show you:

Particularly exxy purchases include NARS Cruising lipstick from the Spring collection, the By Terry Baume de rose and a number of benefit things... What's worse is that I have an online kit cosmetics purchase still to come. Gah!
I'm yet to try the By Terry, but I have already fallen in love with Cruising. I am thankful I don't already have something similar in my collection. Even the bf noticed the new shade!
Things I still want but don't have: the NARS Kuala Lumpur duo eyeshadow and the NARS Orgasm illuminator. Sigh.

New Benefit Goodies
So my benefit cosmetics order from over a month ago finally arrived. I knew it would take forever - it was the same shipping type Amazon (for orders to Australia). This basically means it stops in every country on Earth and spends a few days travelling to the moon and back before it gets to you :-P But the dollar was good at the time and I couldn't resist the new (well WAS new) items:

So the two items that I actually ordered are up the top: Nice Melons velvet eye shadow and Zone Out lipgloss.

The purchase came with a free eye shadow (on the left), a sample of benefit eye con and dr. feelgood. Always nice to receive freebies :-) I swatched the shadow and gloss lightly on my hand:

I didn't really want to use much product so the swatches are light. Nice melons has a lovely peach sheen and zone out is a shimmery beige. I don't know why I chose that colour, I'm still going through my neutral/nude phase. The benefit brochure showed a bright pink one that looks so much nicer. Benefit lipglosses smell fruity though! It reminds me of these fruit scented felt pens I had when I was, erm, maybe 4 or 5 years old. Each colour would have a different smell - red would be strawberry, green watermelon etc etc. It was a nice childhood reminder.
Overall a good purchase. I'd probably wear the gloss over a lippy since it's so sheer, but I usually do anyway. And yay for more eye shadow! I'm building up a 'travel makeup bag' so these make wonderful new additions.

Benefit Goodies
I wanted to try some Benefit products but in Australia, I don't have easy access to the brand. I think the main website posts internationally, but I did a google search and came across an Australian site, adorebeauty.com.au Yay for new online shopping find!
Although it's annoying having to get different brands from different sites. If I want NARS, Stila, By Terry, I need to go to Mecca. If I want Benefit, Laura Mercier, Smashbox, id Bare Escentuals, I can go to adorebeauty. The website was a little out dated and I did order during the christmas break, but they promptly processed my order start of Jan :-) AND I got a free choccy! That was hilarious. Onto my purchases:

The Benefit FY Eye primer. At first look all I could think was 'omg it's so orange!' But it really doesn't come out that way when you apply it. And it's a blistering 37 degrees today (er, 98F according to google) so we will see how this goes for creasing :-P

Ok I'm such a sucker for gift packs. Especially when they come in cute cases and have accessories like compact mirrors. Anyway I could justify this, I have no blue mascara, or face primer. Yes I have highlights but I don't have a pink highlight :-)

And yes the Benefit Bad Gal blue mascara is quite blue:

Overall another happy purchase. Yet to try the face primer, I already have make up on today. We'll see how that goes. The Benefit Eye Bright is nice and I see me using that quite a bit - it'll be a change from the Clinique white frost shadow I'm obsessed with.
Oh. My blue mascara isn't looking so blue anymore. Maybe I need a primer? Anyway, onto my after Xmas sales purchase. Or was it just a sale? Can't remember. Purple snake skin heels. Who doesn't need that?

Sadly they're half a size too big. And I thought I had my Tony Bianco shoe size figured out! Grr! They were cheap though.
